| I just ordered a M845 scope from tnvc. I have seen some positive comments about it online. Anybody have any input or suggestions on additions? I ordered an illuminator with it. I have only looked through Gen 1 NV in the past...I'm expecting a big improvement over that. |

Many will agree here....The M845 is the best bang for your resolution $$ and Gen 1 will not compare well. Vic |

The M845 is an impressive device considering the value cost. Even though I already own higher spec devices, I would really like to have one in the stable eventually.
Built like a tank, and has very respectable performance. Supplemental active IR will be your friend when it is REALLY dark out. I haven't heard many disappointed M845 owners, and there don't seem to be a whole lot for sale in the previously-loved market....that should give one pretty positive indication. |

True, most people who get them seem to love them. They realize it's not going to perform like the latest Gen3 and seem genuinely happy with the performance they get for the price they paid. Always a good thing. :) And they probably worry a lot less about recoil too. Regards David

i posted one on here for sale a few weeks ago. got an offer for 250 more than i paid for it. But I just couldn't let it go, the more I thought about it the more I love it.
Its almost like that cheap knife that stays sharp so you use it for everything. When I upgrade I guess I'll keep it and let my stupid friends use it. |
| good question i flip the switch off when I'm not actively using it. so a 4 hour walking hunt i might only put 20min on the tube. I'll break the switch long before the tube burns out. But i can see at night much better than most so i don't need it to walk. this might not be the best idea but a switch is cheaper than a tube. |
