Glass bedding release alternatives?

I have a lot of JB weld and some midway bedding epoxy, but the release fluid in the kit is dried out. What alternative release agents are you using? I have bedded 20 + rifles. I'm bedding the buttstock on a Rossi Rio Grande.

Shoe polish. Vaseline. Case lube.

Paste floor wax... used it for years with no issues

Clear shoe polish.
That is all I have ever used.

Paste wax works great.
Just apply a medium-heavy coat and let dry 20 minutes. DON'T wipe it off.

Since Johnson's has been discontinued Min-Wax makes a good substitute.
Renaissance Museum Wax also works great, but it's expensive.

No one uses PAM cooking spray anymore??

I used that back in the day for both acraglass and steel bed with good results.

A blast of gunscrubber and it came right off when you were done.

I use about 6 spray coats of Aqua-Net hair spray.

So far so good

I have in desperation, used a thin coat of dieletric grease. It worked fine.

Just about anything that blocks the compound from contacting the stock will work.
