Is there a shooting rest that's usable from handguns all the way out to long guns like a Mosin?
Wondering if one exists and how much it'd cost. Kinda curious how some of my guns shoot certain ammo compared to one another with zero human error.

At the CMP Marksmanship Park in Talladega they have heavy, black rubber (looks like they're made of recycled tire material) blocks.  They aren't something you'd want to carry in a range bag, but they are an interesting and simple design.  Some edges are scalloped and depending on which face you lay down you can get different heights.  Real steady rest.

You're gonna want something with some give like a sandbag but with some height adjustability, like a Caldwell Rock Rest.

Since I use a lot of 30 round mags I've found I drag my Vanguard tripod out more than anything else. Has a pretty big height range but never used it on pistols. Also quite a bit lighter than the ones with a cast iron base so it's very portable.

My favorite is a shooting bag like the Caldwell Dead Shot filled with lead, most stable but a PITA to drag out to the range.
