I'm looking for a good starting suppressor for my Savage 10FCP .308

I'm looking for a good mix of performance and price.
5/8-24 threaded crown

Find a local shop who can demo some stuff, or is a builder.
If not that go with AAC, SWR,or YHM.

I just picked up an AAC SDN-6 to run between my Savage 10-FP, AR10 and 300BLK.  AAC is also running a promo right now where you'll get $100 in AAC store credit if you buy a can before Oct 25th.  Sadly though, my registered mail receipt says my paperwork just got to WV, hopefully there will be someone there tomorrow to accept the mail.

Go for the SDN6. the aac store credit basically pays for one muzzle device. Really happy with mine on 5.56, 300 blk and 308.

Its at the higher end of the price curve, but if accuracy is your #1 concern, the TBAC 30P-1 is hard to beat.  When I got mine for my Surgeon 260, not only did my groups stay the same (well under 1/2 moa), but my POI didn't change a bit.

^^^^ THIS.  The decision needs to be based on your needs.  A can is something that is usually bought for a lifetime.  IMHO, it is worth taking the time to save the money to buy exactly what you want/need.  Once you factor in the cost/time it takes to get one, saving a little longer might make sense for you.  I am a dealer and have suppressors from a lot of different companies.  But for my precision bolt actions, I prefer the Thunder Beast offerings.  I have and like both the thread mount and brake attach models.  But all of this is just one persons opinion, and you need to decide what it right for you.

Having heard almost of these in person, seen them, handled them, etc...

I'd say SKIP the YHM, and get a 30cal Ti Thunderbeast. It's built with similar baffles to the AAC Cyclone, but it's lighter and sounds great, magnum rated too. The YHM has been the only can that TO ME was noticeably louder than the rest, although still quieter than the Wilson Combat Ti can. The TB also has symetical baffles that precision guys feel is important to POI shifts, the YHM does not.

If you look over at SnipersHide or similar, those guys don't cheap out on gear, the recommended thread-on can is Thunderbeast over there. I have a curiosity on the grade Ti they are using for the tube, but I have yet to see a baffle strike or failed can out there. So whatever they are doing seems to be working.

Absolutely the last consideration you should be looking at. It's over a year wait for a can now. Don't be cheap.

Yep. Inconel baffles should be on your list.
