Hey everyone!

I went into Fry's Electronics the other day and saw these, http://www.asseenontvguys.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=180, for 10 bucks.  Figured it was worth a try for the gun safe.  I put them in and it works really good and is plenty of light.  Its a cheap fix for lighting if anyone is looking for something.

I just wish I had a gun safe big enough to justify some kind of interior illumination.

I'd illuminate it in red, in case I'd need to preserve nightvision.

Also, because I live on an imaginary submarine.

Same solution I came up with. They work very well, and being LEDs, the batteries last half of forever.

I used rope lights, but you got me to thinkin. I may get a few for extra illumination.

... Naw, just do a clean, wiring job through the lifting lug on the top. Designed mine to turn on just like your 'fridge when opened

I picked something like that up a Lowes.  Works great.

These hockey puck lights that are sold at home depot and lowes work well.  They make them in halogen 120V and no longer need a transformer if you buy the correct ones.  They are very bright:

FYI, these aren't my guns or safe.  I sold the safe and traded almost every gun in the photo.  Also note the Walmart plate rack pistola holders!!!

I used a remote control Christmas tree light switch and used velcro to attach it to the safe.
