I am so gonna make my money back on mine...

That guy is on crack if he thinks he is gonna get $600 for that K-31.

Oh seriously Wtf.

That gouge is not from ANY storage system that I have seen nor can he state that the rifle is unissued. It may be in good shape but I have seen a LOT of them in better shape that were well used.

600 for that thing? Someone is smoking crack.

Setting aside the majority of bullshit in the ad, why would someone advertise "no C&R please"?

This part cracks me up: "Also included are 14 fired cases and 5 live rounds"

What a wanker, he also lists that it could have been made in a 20+ year span of time.

Just remember, it just takes one sucker.

I wouldn't be surprised if it sold either.

IMO this is the same as those who buy from CMP with the intention of selling for twice the price. Setting out to rip off fellow gun owners to make a buck is just downright sad.

It would be different if he put a lot of effort into refinishing the wood to make it look as new and someone wanted to buy one as such without the dings dents and dark spots etc. Although that price would still be considered high, it would be more excusable since you would also be paying for the labor that went into it.

The serial number is 247xXX.  This gun was manufactured in 1955.

I've got a 253xxx made in 1956 and I would be genuinely surprised if it demanded that much of a premium. I can see $350 or so, but not $600. Then again, I guess in this case the market value of it is worth whatever someone is willing to pay!

I love gunbroken. Since ebay banned the sale, I found some USP 40 mags for no reserve. But the guy wanted $13 to ship a mag. I emailed him about it, and he was unwilling to come down, so I said I wouldn't bid, and so he said to piss off. Sometimes I wonder if people really want to sell things.

Kinda like going to an Antique shop to look at the antique collecting dust because nobody wants to buy the items in question for the exorbinant prices.

Something is only as valuable as what some sucker will pay!

On a whim, I messaged the guy through GunBroker. hehehe...

Comment: The "expected" gouge is from storage? Dude, stop lying. I've seen hundreds of these, that look a ton better, are about $400 cheaper, and I'm able to get it with my C&R. I have not seen a single one with such an unsightly gouge. Maybe a few dings here and there, but that's it. What a rip. You're definitely not an asset to GunBroker.

Reply: Go down to the wholesaler like I did and hand pick one and you'll see plenty. Maybe you should get out more. The metal is untouched.

Sad thing is that this %$@# is being attached to sks's, mausers, etc. Not seeing what has happened at end of auctions, but it is ridiculous.

The guy must have read this post, because he dropped the starting bid to $350 now.
