| I have a Winchester 94 Trapper in 44 mag that I am wanting to give the black rifle treatment. Unfortunately, it is in dire need of a new barrel. The factory barrel is a piece of crap. There is an extremely rough spot half way down the barrel that has to be seen to be believed. I like to do as much of my gunsmithing as possible but obviously this is beyond my abilities and level of shop equipment. Can anyone out there recommend a smith to rebarrel and fit ghost ring and post sights? Also any recommendations as to barrel brands? |

If you consider your barrel a total write off , might try fire lapping it ? God bless Wyr |

It made made no real improvement. I would really apreciate any recomendations that anyone could make about a good lever smith. There are lots of bolt action guys out there but most donk do much, if anything with lever guns. |
| These guys do great work and they are definitely familiar with lever guns. I know they can re-barrel it. |
