The boss said I could get a SL8!!!

What accessories/options should I get and why?
Does this thing use ar15 mags or do I need an adapter?

Thanks in advance for any advice....

AFAIK, Speshul Wepuns is the only company to offer a conversion kit for this rifle to accept AR mags and from what I have read the performance is spotty on this conversion. As it stands currently, without the conversion you are limited to 10 round mags.

Just a thought, for what these rifles typically go for, around $1200, you could buy a preban AR.

I've done a few of these conversions. The parts all look "factory" and fit correctly. The guns ran 100% using an assortment of ammo. Mags used were USGI 30 and 20's, Bushmaster alum 10's and PMI 40's.

Ditto what you said about buying the AR...!

The conversion also requires cutting the receiver, which voids the warranty.

SL8's have been having problems with the plastic receivers cracking.  Getting them fixed or replaced is not a problem...if you have warranty.
