I just tryed to post this but I guess I hit the wrong button (damn cell phone keyboards). Anyway I am getting ready to order this belt but am wondering about something I read in the description. It says that you can add loop material for the larger size belt. Is this a good option to go with? What are the cons of not adding the additional loop material? Lastly, does anyone have pictures of this belt with the added loop material? Or even without it just so I can visualize what they are talking about or how it would look/work? Thanks.

Bueler.... Bueler?  Nobody has anything? Guess I will continue researching and hope to find some relevent info.

Loop Material is Loop Velcro sewn onto the Inner Belt. This keeps the Inner belt in place and creates a more solid system.

Just select the Cobra Belt in the Drop Down Menu and HSGI will make sure you are set up correctly.

I got the HSGI padded belt with the Cobra riggers belt and they sent it to me with the riggers belt already threaded inside with the velcro in place.  It is an excellent product and I will be getting another one soon.

Here's mine when it was new. It wasn't threaded when I got it, but there's a trick to that. The extra loop material holds it all together so you don't get any shifting of the inner belt. I wore mine at a 2 day class recently and had zero trouble with stuff sliding/walking around.

Call them to be sure. Depends on how much gap you want in the front and where you're going to wear it.

I just ordered mine today.

There is some adjustment in the cobra. My padded wasnt touching when I got it, but now it is due to weight loss.  I'm trying to decide if i want to order another smaller setup and keep this one to go on top of jackets and winter clothes.

Edit: definitely contact them about sizing. I ordered an XL padded and 48 cobra. I was kinda when they told me I needed that combo. Sure enough, it fit perfectly when i was in 42 jeans. Now I'm in 38's and need a little more adjustment, but the padded is bottomed out end-to-end.

I currently where a size 40 jeans but they are starting to fit big, but 38's are still a little snug for my liking. Maybe i will give them a call and see what the say. I suppose i could always buy the larger and then sell it on the EE when I shrink myself out of it an buy another one! I would like to avoid doing that but sometimes i have no choice! Im impatient!

Hey CXS what is the wait time on a holster from you guys for a Glock? Need one for the new setup!

I got the Duty belt with mine. The Cobra looks good, but I didn't see any need for it, as the Duty works great. After messing with my Sure Grip, I wouldn't even consider another war belt.

I just got a HSGI factory second... I cant tell a difference but I will say it is top notch quality !
As far as more loop material it may be talking anout it on both sides of the inside where the duty or riggers belt is. Some duty and riggers have the hook and loop material on both sides.

Not trying to hijack, but what's the trick to adjusting the fit of the inner to the outer belt? I need some more room for adjustment, and the Velcro is a pain in the arse to deal with. I can separate it, but I can't reach between the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock subload accesses.

Well, don''t I feel like an ass. My mind was on the right track, but I didn't even think of using the stiffener. Trés bien. Merci beaucoup.

I am a 42 waist also (gained weight after a serious car accident) but have been losing weight and expect to get to a 36-38 so I ordered the large. I figured I could live with the gap and be happy as it closes.

I am expecting the HSGI belt to arrive tomorrow. Any of you guys that have one run a suspension from the provided attachment points?

If so what would you recommend and why do you like what you chose?

Thanks in advance.

I've been thinking about getting some suspenders, but honestly the the belt isn't trying to drop on me. Maybe if i did more crawling on the ground, I'd get some.

What size and color did you get? I tried to order a medium in coyote last Thursday, May 4th but they didn't have anymore but it was a drop down option. I was very bummed about it...

As far as loop material, you need it on the inner side to work with the sgpb and you only need both sides if you are carrying a very heavy subload.

My multicam suregrip, tan riggers belt, with 2 combo tacos, 1 pistol taco, and a few other things shipped and arrived at the door 14 days after purchase. Really good times IMHO. I am still waiting the last RTI wheel (going on week 3 now), and my bladetech holster for my Sig P220/ TLR1 (going on week 6). I have other holsters that have an RTI mount, so I not sweating that too much.

Honestly, I don't find a need for suspenders. Now, I have a little bit of hips, so there's something for the belt to sit on. With my belt fully loaded, there is no slipping.

I ordered my no-slip from SKD and got it within a few days. I ordered the cobra belt directly from HSGI because I wanted to customize it beyond what SKD stocks. It arrived somewhere around 8 business days.
