I'm looking to pull the trigger on a new plate carrier/chest rig. I'll be attending some classes in the coming months and I cant use the vest I wear everyday at work to them. It looks like the weesatch/wasatch. It looks like the Wasatch is a little on the big side. I dont think I'll be needing that many mags without adding pouches. I'm concerned about the fitment of the weesatch. I'm a big guy (but I'm getting smaller) 6'0" 245 lbs with a broad chest.

Will the weesatch fit me OK in XL or should I just go big with the wasatch?

Thanks for the advice.

I am 6' 220 and I run a wasatch.  Contact Joe at SKD, he'll get you fitted.

Hmmmmmm I'll make sure it'll fit you and I'll PM you with an answer. I would eat my shoe laces if it can't be adjusted to work if it wouldn't right out of the box. Where's CXS when you need him. Guess it's time to activate my HSGI Bat signal.

CXS - I better not have to eat my shoe laces.

The XL Satch's only have larger plate pockets for XL plates...

They are not any bigger around..

A Wee should be fine with your size...

I tend to want to overload the Wa..

If your gonna be using it without plates as a Chest Rig get the X-Backed Straps with it also.. only an extra $7.50 for more modularity..

We've been selling Wa/Weesatch's locally and have been making adapter kits to connect directly to the MTV/SPC Shoulder straps..

Marines are coming in and wanting us to "Beef Up" their new USMC Chest Rigs...

Which we wont touch anything CIF issued..

Instead they are leaving happy with a Satch to use as a Chest Rig...

Also Army personnel are buying the Satch's with ESSPCA's to replace their MAGNUM PC's...

PEO needs to open their eyes, and ears...

I can attest to that(though I'm Air Force).  Got issued the Magnum, did not like it.  Was given the ok to buy our own carriers, so I bought the Weesatch.  Much better.  If you're going with any of them, make sure you have plate backers or something to pad with.

CXS,
Thanks for clearing things up. I'm glad I don't have to eat my shoe lace. That would be a whole different thread. And left nut huh? Aren't you a rightie? So I'm  the "dominant nut"? God my knowledge of human anatomy is creepy.
