I have both a SmartReloader VBSR016-01 Deburring Tool and an RCBS 09348 17-60 CAL Deburring Tool. I prefer the SmartReloader possibly because it has a smaller point for 223/5.56 and I also think it works better because it has kept its edge longer. Neither one of them always removes all of burrs. If I notice the burr I will work the deburring tool until the burr is removed. I pin clean my brass after I use the deburring tool with the hope that the remaining missed burrs will be removed. However, when I press a bullet into the case the bullet sometimes doesn't slide in as smoothly as all the others. In some of the brass cases, the bullet is scraped at the lip edge and some copper is removed. In order to remove any remaining burrs I now use a tapered reamer before bullets are added (see picture). I turn the reamer backwards several turns as it can be too aggressive when turned as designed. I'd be interested in comments and possible other solutions to this problem.
