How critical is the bolt carrier when head spacing an FAL? The reason I asked is I have a DSA FAL and I recently picked up a para kit that I want to use. Ideally I'd like to be able to swap lowers back and forth until I can afford to build my dedicated para. Can I use the original bolt and just swap the bolt carriers (para and standard) without worrying about headspace? Thanks, Steve |

Are you talking about taking the bolt out and switching them in the different carrier's but use in the same reciever which contains the Locking Shoulder? Or are you talking about having seperate uppers and switching on just one lower? Edited...FORGET I ASKED I read it again for the 3rd time and figured out what you wanted to do. If I were you I would check to see if the Headspace is Within Limits prior to trying it. Everything depends on where it hits on the Locking Shoulder |
