| I have a pro-tec ace helmet for doing swift water rescue, im needing a light mount for it |

I've been pondering this exact question. We've got some NRS swiftwater helmets. We have a training scheduled for late November that will fall into night and no way to rig a headlamp either. I was looking at the Petzl Tikka Pro since it has a helmet mount available. It attaches w a decent adhesive and you can get a mount for your rock helmet as well. I don't remember if the headlamp is only splash or fully waterproof. |

The add says for Alpha and Bravo helmets. Those aren't the same helmets the OP is talking about, but I don't see any reason the rail wouldn't fit on what he's got. He'll need to drill two holes to mount the rail, but that's it. |

I'd try a pair of ARC rails on that bucket. You can buy airsoft grade rails pretty cheap. http://www.ebay.com/itm/FMA-ARC-MICH-2000-Helmet-Rail-guide-suit-Black-BK-for-airsoft-paintball-TB923-/161502153383?hash=item259a474aa7:g:Yp0AAOSwAL9Uea3P They should mount via the liner mounting screws. Would give you a multi-use platform for lights, cameras, etc.
