[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help Identifying a rifle

I was curious if anyone by glance could tell me what this is. I just inherited a huge collection from my wife's grandfather and she sent me pictures but I couldnt identify this one.

Remington 1903-A3

ETA: Sporterized, but looks like maybe a stock and front sight (if removed) and you have a collectable gun.

It looks to me to also have a bull barrel. I would take it somewhere and have them check what caliber it is, it may not be 30-06 anymore.

Springfield 1903-A3. Made by either Remington or Smith-Corona or possibly a copy.

Sporterized sometime in the 60's based on the stock.
