I am currently running a modded Benelli Montefeltro. It has a fixed tube, so I cannot add a mag extension. I am fixed at 4+1+1 (if I ghost).
I want to add an "onboard" shell holder system.
I have kinda narrowed it down to 2 major ones (although I am open to other suggestions). I was thinking either:
1.) The 3 Gun Gear 2-pac holder, which holds 2 shells on the fore-end just in front of the ejection port.
2.) Mesa Tactical 4 shell holder, which holds 4 shells on the non-ejection-port side.
I dont want to go more then 4, as I want to keep it light-weight. I also dont want to run one of those streachy "butt-cuffs" that slip over the stock and holds shells.
One thing that kinda worries me is the mounting system of the Mesa. It relies on one (1) bolt that passes through the reciever to keep it on the gun. I jsut get a little hesitant as I have heard about failures with the bolt snapping. I know the Mesa's are better quality then most, and I am probably worrying about nothing.
So what do you guys think I should run?
ETA: I am still on the fence about whether to even buy one, so if you think I should run nothing, say so. The main role of the gun is casual clays & fun plinking, but I would also not hesitate to grab it in an HD role.
Here is a pic of said gun.

Well I've got a Mesa 6-shot holder, and it's solid as a rock. Shells stay tight, and the thing feels like part of the gun (unlike the plastic TacStar/ATI stuff).
I highly recommend Mesa's shell holders.

I think I might go with the 3 Gun Gear for now, as it is very inexpensive and will do everything I need it too.
Plus if I don't like it, I am out 15 dollars vs 50 to 60.

Go with the 3Gun Gear. I've got both the Mesa (6 shot) and changed over to the 3gunGear velcro side saddle (they are just coming out with a 4 round by the way) and prefer it, it's lighter and no pins to bind in the receiver.
