I would like to remove my collapsible stock that's currently on my Supernova and stick with a fixed stock.  I've pulled the tube off the back of the reciever but I can't get the stock assembly off the tube.  Is there some kind of trick to getting the thing off the tube?

Benelli has some rather obscure and arcane literature out on the stocks and they just say to depress the button further to allow the stock to slide off the rear of the tube, but I've got this thing chucked into a vise and I'm pressing on it with all my weight and I can't get it to come off.  I've tried removing the allen set screw in front of the stock piece that supposidly retains the button in the stock, but that doesn't seem to release the stock.

Can anyone give me some ideas as to how to get this freaking thing off?

No, that doesn't help.  I'm trying to remove the tube that goes into the reciever or pull the adjustable portion off the tube.

I read on a Benelli forum that you remove the butt pad then unscrew the tube with a socket. No details as to whether it's a special socket. I have no firsthand knowledge with this model. Good luck!
