I picked up in a trade, a very ligthly use CZ 527 in 221FB. Very pretty wood, great bore. I'm not imprssed with the price of the ammo! There was a thread on case forming from .223, does anyone have any input on the .221? I have a 527 in .223 and if the .221 is too much hassle it's going to morf into something else.

My advice - buy new brass.  I expect Graf's has it in stock, if not, check Midway.  Forming brass for .221 Fireball is a last ditch proposition in my opinion.  I have around 300 cases, 200 of which I bought new and another 40 or so are once fired cases from factory ammo.

If you want to try the cartridge and rifle out, why not buy one box of factory ammunition?  That's more economical than buying dies and cases.

I have a set of Lee dies and about 20 brass. I'll need to scope the rifle. I'm just not sure if I should invest in this caliber for the long term. I have the same rifle in .223, The deal on something I wasn't sure I wanted was just too sweet.
