Hello,   I am looking to buy a .50BMG upper.  At this time I like the Ultralite:  http://www.ultralite50.com/index.html

My questions are:  Where do I find a lower like the one pictures (no mag well).

And is there a big difference in accuracy or velocity between the bbl lengths?  Is there an optimal bbl length to choose in your opinion?

I think DPMS is the only one making "california" lowers.

That's nice!

How much is the DPMS Cali lower?  If it's a lot of money I will probably just stick with the cheap Stag, unless you guys find a problem with that??

DPMS Single shot lower                         =$179.95 (stripped)*
DPMS Single shot lower                         =$367.95 (assembled)*

*Per DMPS website

MineIsBigger,

Are you in Kali? If not, and money is a problem, why not just use a narmal stripped lower?

I like the lower on Ultralite's website just for looks.

But since it costs a lot more, I'd probably be better off with the $90 Stag.

Just to put it in perspective, I've had an order in for a DPMS single-shot since October.  Still waiting.

Then I'll just get the Stag then, unless someone thinks there will be a problem?   Then all I need is the normal lower parts kit (minus a few parts) and a stock without the buffer.  Am I correct?

You are correct! And a stag should work just fine! I would get a good adjustable match trigger.
