I want a 10.5 inch with a pinned low profile gas block for duty use.  I have found this exact DD barrel in stock for $315.  Another option is to buy the RRA for $200 and cut down the front sight.  Is the DD barrel worth the extra money or will the RRA be enough for what I need it for?

Hammer forged, CL, with 5.56 chamber and you do not have to monkey around with cutting the FSB down? Yes, it would be worth it to me YMMV.

I picked up one of the 11" DSA Uppers. $277 shipped. It runs great. I've had good luck with DSA in the past, looks no different this time. Fit, finish and function all excellent.

For duty use I'd consider the DD. If it were personal use and plinking I'd buy the RRA and chop the FSB. It takes about a half hour to do the chop and profile.  DD will likely have more longevity for high round counts. My local PD just approved another AR manufacturer for duty use and I know they run DD barrels on their weapons. We need pics after the build
