This will be going between a scar 17 and 8" 300 blackout.  My 4 ARs all have gemtech bilock QDs already for my G5,  so it would be nice to be able to put my 7.62 can on them.  But the omega is shorter and lighter and cheaper,  what should I buy?

Are you GemTech loyal or are you simply financially tied up in their mounts?

IMHO, there are other options to consider as well such as a sandman-s, Saker to a degree, and potentially something from Rugged later this year.

My big thing is weight,  the omega is lighter than either the sandman or saker,  or The One, only considering the one cause I have mounts,  if I get the omega I just wouldn't use it on my 5.56.
