Thinking about either buying one of Century's .308 K98s or buying an M95 from Aim. I'm assuming that the M95s will probably be around for a while due to the fact that ammo is getting harder to come buy but supposedly the converted K98s are more rare. Anyone picked up either of these lately? I have run into the the k98s at gun shows and online gunbroker sites and the generally look kind of rough. Turk |

The converted K98's are rough. Unless you have to have the proof marks you would be better off to make your own up. Dennis Jenkins

I kind of figured that the converted 98s were probably pretty rough. The ones I've seen looked pretty ugly and especially coming from Century, its a crap shoot. I'm sitting pretty good on Mausers but the Finn m39 is a good idea. I've seen a few at gun shows and they are a pretty nice looking gun. I know Empire arms has some but I've never done business with them. Any other recommendations for vendors? Turk |
