Ok I need some direction for my next build. I have the following options. 1. Build a nice rhodesian replica from a parts kit I have and apply baby poo camo. The parts kit has some nice rare markings and is in great shape. I only need a receiver and some paint, possibly a trilux scope to top it off. 2. Get a para kit from my buddy and build a suppressed 18" para. I would need a receiver, barrel, scope, and a few other misc parts. 3. Buy para kit and use my Rhodie kit to make it into a rhodesian para with baby poo camo. Only need to buy the para kit, receiver and possibly a trilux. 4. Sell my rhodie kit and get out of fals. I really like all options but am iffy about building a suppressed para due to all the issues my buddy had with his. Plus it would be the most expensive due to me having to buy the most parts for it. The rhodie options would be fun as I really like that era. A baby poo gun with a trilux scope would be cool. Thoughts? Ideas? All help is appreciated. |

I missed out on the para kit but still have my rhodie. I think I will wait and build that down the road. |

I don't know why I didn't post this before:
the Sight Unit, Trilux (SUIT) was made for the L1A1. The mount cover has tabs that fit the L1A1 and will not fit a metric FAL unless you remove them, which is rather a shame. The SUIT is at this point outdated, so it's only value is historical collectibility- so no reason to molest the cover mount to put on a metric. |

Sure, but I saw some old pics of a few triluxs that made it on Rhodesian fals. Figured it would be a fun scope to put on a gun. |
