Ok, arf, I'm up to the point in my collection of reloading equipment, I need a scale.  I'm not reloading 1000's of rounds at a time, so speed isn't really a factor, mostly I'm just loading some 30-06, and 7.7 Jap, for some bolt guns.  I work for a living, so I have a pretty short budget of $100 or under.  I have looked at the budget digital scales, but the accuracy issues have me a bit worried, and I have started looking at beams scales.  Wal-Mart has the RCBS 502 priced at $63 here, and RCBS has the rebate thing going on now, so I could get $10 back on any RCBS scale really.

Mainly arf just recommend me a solid scale that I can set weigh out my charges, and not have to fuck with it all the time......

Might a new unopened Dillon Terminator digital scale for $100 interest you?

My first scale, which I still use as a spare, is the Dillon beam scale.  It served me well for years and still works fine.  I think that they're $45-$50 now.  Look on Ebay for a minty 5-0-5, or 10/10.  Ohaus makes all of these beam scales, so look for one of them.  I use the ChargeMaster 1500 now and it's a bit faster.

I'm looking on Dillon's site now, the beam scale they sell looks like a very nice one....

The Dillon Eliminator Scale is the same as a RCBS 595 scale, guts by Ohaus and bases by RCBS or Dillon.
The Dillon is right aournd 76 buck, whereas the 505 is north of a C note.

Look for used.  I bought a Dillon beam scale for $70 then a few months later, I found a 505 for $35.  I picked it up too for a spare.

I actually just found a terminator scale on the EE with a hard case and all, like new for $100 shipped.  Pretty decent deal if you ask me.  Hope the Dillon stuff lives up to it's good reputation it gets here on arf

I started with a Hornady digital scale, and it turned out that I didn't like it too much.

I got a 5-0-5 and have been very pleased with it.
