I'm new to the suppressor game but I'm about to get the process started and need some advice. I have a DD V5 that I use mainly for hunting and some range work. When I go to the range I spend most of my time trying to hit targets at the 200 and 300 yard mark (mostly unsuccessfully . I want one that is light since I pack this gun alot of miles and in treestands. Some of my shots are around 200-300 (coyotes only) so I want something that won't hinder accuracy. And last but not least I want something that reduces db since I've lost most of my hearing in my right ear and want to protect what little I have left.
I know the gun will still be loud but at least it will help some. Is there anything out there that meets all 3 requirements: accurate, good db reduction, and light? I don't care what it looks like because I could care less about the "coolness" factor of it. Help me out guys. Thanks |

How much are you willing to spend? There are Titanium cans that fit your weight requirement, but they are going to cost more than other options.
A can like the SilencerCo Harvester is light and fairly inexpensive, but you won't have the ability to do rapid fire or mag dumps. It's a slow-fire/hunting can. Lightweight, good suppression and inexpensive don't end up in the same sentence very often. The "mini" or "K" silencers will weight less, but suppression levels will be less than their big-brother counterparts. | Thanks for the response go loud. I don't mind spending a couple of extra bucks to make sure I get what I want. I'll check out the Harvester. Have you shot or seen the SRT Hurricane Ti? It looked to have what I'm looking for I just haven't seen many reviews of it. |

I don't. But others here have had great experiences with SRT.

The Trek is slightly over 10oz while the Saker is 21oz BUT we are talking about ounces, not pounds. That way you can use it on 762 and 556. You can also use the 556 endcap and it's actually quieter than their dedicated 556 can. |
