I'm trying to find what i'm missing and buy it while i'm young! It must be in .22, .38/.357Mag, 9mm, .45acp, .223/5.56, .308/7.62, or 7.62x39. These calibers are readily available(most of the time!) and are somewhat cheap. I've tried some of the newer cartridges and they're just too hard to find and expensive. I like certain platforms(1911's, CZ-75's, etc.) but am open to try new things as long as it's in the calibers listed above. What's in my stable right now: 3 1911's-2 45's, 1 9mm 2 Revolvers- Both .357Mag 1 CZ-75B 9mm 1 Rem. 870HD 1 AR-15 1 LR-308 1 Long range rifle 1 VZ-58 2 Lever actions-1 357mag, 1 .22LR |

I've thought about this a bit and I really think you have your bases covered pretty well.
Looking at your list and imagining that it were mine instead, what other firearms would I feel the need to purchase? I'm a Glock guy, so I'd get a few of those, but that's personal preference. I like to have a lightweight J frame revolver for pocket carry when I cannot carry any other way. You have 2 revolvers, does either one of them fit this potential need? Other than that, I'd be really tempted to get another AR. I don't know the configuration of the one you have now. but I have three that seem to do everything I want out of the platform––-M4gery, RECCE, retro––-all 16" barrels. Good luck! |

An example would be the XCR, which can be had in 5.56 and 7.62x39. It can be converted between the calibers for about the price of a decent second AR upper as well. Beyond that I would say a Garand in 308 |

Both revolvers are large frame revolvers so I won't be able to carry. I'd definitely like to find a nice prelock Smith. My current AR is a Midlength 14.5 w/perm. attached flash hider. A nice 20in SDM-R clone or similar would be a great addition. I've had a Glock before and wasn't a huge fan of it. I'd be willing to try a 4th gen 21SF if they make it. |

Looking at my "collection" I don't see any WWII/WWI firearms, maybe it's time to add some old school. |

I don't see an AK47 listed ETA didn't realize the VZ58 was an AK clone. Why not just spend the cash on ammo ? It isn't a clone at all––just the same caliber and even that was different to begin with. If you want a military bolt gun you can get an Ishy 2A SMLE in 7.62nato or a Spanish FR-8 Mauser. While you seem to have your calibers set, there are others which are very easy to come by because they are common hunting chamberings. A buddy of mine is looking into a FAL in .243. |

Only 1 AR...How is it set up?
If you have a 16" M-4 type I would build a 20" rifle with glass or maybe just an A2 since your eyes are still young. You do need a j frame revolver or something compact if you are gonna CCW. Look at S&W mod 60 or Ruger sp101 in .357 so you have the option of using the .357 that you already have. Other than that I would start with the NFA stuff. A 308 can that you can use on the AR-15,VZ-58 and LR-308 would be money well spent IMHO. You are off to a great start..Keep us posted. |

Looking around I found Fulton Armory. They look awesome but a little expensive. If I go that route i'll have to save for awhile. Thanks for the link. |

Quoted: My current setup is a midlength 14.5 with perm. attached fh., Omega rail with light and fug, and irons. I'd like to setup either a lightweight or 20in rifle. I've always been interested in NFA items but just don't know how to get started. It'd be sweeet to have my VZ-58 sbr'ed. I'd love to have a nice .308 Garand but I just don't think it's in the budget. Since I already have a lower coming in I think i'll be building a lw or 20in. rifle. Only 1 AR...How is it set up? | To be honest, i'd like to build an Infidel style upper. Ya'll let me know if this sounds dumb. I'd like it to have a standard fsb with a lightweight profile barrel w/ perm. attached KX3. I'd have an Omega rail, Larue rear sight, and lower with either a ACS or SOPMOD. Would this be feasible and would it look ok? |

IMO, a KX3 on anything other than an SBR looks really lame, and IMO is kind of useless. IIRC they really shine on SBR's. Just get this http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-16-Mid-Length-LIGHT-WEIGHT-Upper-Receiver-p/bcm-urg-mid-16lw%20ddox9.htm |

I don't see any mouse guns (e.g. pistol caliber carbines) on your list. Why not try a Hi-Point 995TS or a Kel-Tec Sub2000?
Also you might try building your own AR lower - once you build your first you get the itch to build another ......... and another ..... Then get a 7.62x39 upper and/or a 9mm upper. I have a 410 shotgun upper for my AR system that I really enjoy, obviously the ammo (410 in 2 1/2") is easy to get per your request for cheap easy to find ammo. |

From my perspective your armory is lacking in small concealable weapons. The J-frame Smith or Kahr PM9 would be my solution. Also needs a .22 conversion for the 1911's and AR or a dedicated 22 set up if you prefer. I also like to have a back up AR. They do break now and again, also, I know it's paranoid but if you ever had to use the AR for real the popo will hang on to it for a while and it's a nice feeling to know you have an extra ready to go. |

well either pony up for the kit and put your projects on hold for the time being...or finish your projects you've got at the moment. ...trust me this is coming from a guy with 2 unbuilt AK's and 4 1911's that need to be built. And I won't get to work on them till Christmas |

Or if you wanted something in x39, cause that is about as cheap a center fire round as you can find, I'd say pick up an AK. |

| Well, most of my parts are in. My lightweight barreled AR project is about to start. As soon as I recieve the front sight post, it and the barrel are being sent to ADCO so he can modify the barrel for the set screw front sight. I can't decide if I'm going to have him cut it down and perm. attach a fh. This should be a handy little rifle once completed. |
