i bought the RCBS Rockchucker master kit and it comes with the case lube and pad.
i went to use it yesterday and i tried squeezing the lube onto the pad but it would barely come out. it was like a super thick gel that was cold in the bottle, it would barely come out. is this normal or is it supposed to be liquid?? i would think liquid and if so, i should be able to contact RCBS for warranty? |

Don't squeeze too hard or you'll pop the nozzle out of the bottle and make a mess...trust me, I know.
I hate those bottles! it shouldn't be too thick like Jello. It should be more like syrup or thinner. Try letting it warm up in a bowl of hot water. |

It's thick. Cut it with isopropyl alcohol and spray it onto the cases. This ^^^. GO to Walmart and buy some ISO HEET from the automotive section. Should be a 612oz bottle, buy 2 of them. Mix the 2oz bottle of RCBS lube and the 2- 12oz of ISO HEET into a spray bottle and you have yourself some nice spray lube. easy 12:1 ratio. Edit for correction of bottle size! |

i just cant believe thats normal? they should redesign the bottle if its that thick.fd
i did pull the little spout off and poured a thin line around the pad and then rubbed it in. i have iso alcohol here so i will 'cut' it with that but next time im at scheels going to get a can of spray lube. midway had it on sale but that damn hazard fee just isnt worth it. will probably pick up a few cans so i dont run out the next time. i have been selling 5.56 brass like crazy and i want to deprime, and pin tumble for a premium service and maybe swage if im feeling ambitious? so if i start doing that i will need lots-o-lube! |

Dont go and buy spray lube.

I just opened my second bottle of But...CaseLube II and got 18yrs out of the first one. I like the stuf, since it can be wiped off with a damp shop rag and one doesn't have to tumble it off. This works for me when loading smaller <100ct batches.
Somebody wrote that it's actually an industrial strength suficant (surfactant,) which I guess would be a soap? Chris |
