I'm trying to scope a PTR for some long range shooting. Besides the STANAG claw mount what are my options for rings that will allow me to use the irons with the scope mounted? I'm thinking of getting the MFI mount and I have a Burris scope but I need rings that are both see through for the iron sights and quick release if possible. Any recomendations? Many thanks!!!

the B&T mounts are VERY nice...i just sold mine due to the lack of use [perfer irons on my ptr91k]
but there very nice sites and irons can be used if you take the optic off the mount [I.E quick release mount]

Brugger and Thome' is the way to go.
I have seen nothing else on the market that comes close to the quality
No regrets from buying and using mine.

You can see your irons sights with that set up? What model B&T mount and what rings? Thanks!

B-Squared has one i put on my PTR-91 about 7 years ago. I think it ran around $90.00. No problems at all with scope mount. My scope has stayed zeroed all these years.

Can you see the irons with that one? Thanks!

I had a B-Squared mount that would shift like crazy on my PTR––many others have had the same result.  It's a lucky one to get it to work on a PTR.

MFI and B&T are both great solid mounts.    MFI is lower profile, but both allow you to see irons just fine.

There is a claw mount that has a standard rail on top, I think ARMS makes it.

What rings will allow you to see the irons?

B&T Low Profile Picatinney G3/HK91 mount.
American Defense quick detach one piece 30mm ring mount.
IOR/Valdada 4X24 PSO scope calibrated for 7.62X51 150 grain ammunition.

Pull the scope to use Iron sights, the mount does not interfere with the iron sights but it isn't a see thru set-up. HTH

I found a set up by MFI with a see through riser. I should have it soon and I'll post backhow it works. I hear MFI makes top quality stuff.

Glad I stumbled on this, I was looking for a scope mount to use as well.
