So, until today I was completely sold on going with the Octane 9 HD 2 for my first suppressor which would eventually be accompanied by a sparrow and and Specwar 7.62.

However, today I came across the Liberty Mystic which is full auto rated for up to 7.62x39.

Currently i shoot 22, 9, .223, 300 Blackout and 7.62x39. None of which are full auto or likely to ever be full auto.

Any advice on going one way or the other? Both are similarly priced and I have heard nothing but good stuff about service from SilencerCo.

Seems you would have all your bases covered with those three so I would go Octane. Also mystic is listed at 16 oz vs the Octane at 11 oz.

It may seem a little like fan boy type mentality, but I will generally lean silencerco if possible. You'll see story after story on here of satisfied customers, and the few with problems not only get a quick solution, but usually they go above and beyond. I know several people who sent in something for a mounting issue or a tight endcap, and received their can back with a brand new baffle. They are good people, who really take care of their customers.

The Mystic is a nice can from what I have read, but it is a good bit heavier than the Octane.  If you get the Specwar 762 you will be able to shoot 556 and 300 blk through it, the Octane can also shoot 300 blk subs.  I've never heard a Mystic myself, so maybe someone who has can chime in and tell us how it does on all those calibers.

I'm by no means an expert, but if I were forced to only have one can, it would have to be the Mystic. Everything from .22LR to full power 5.56? Yes please.

Of course I bought mine based on the "one-can" scenario and promptly ordered two more before I ever had the Mystic in my hands.

I'm a huge Silencerco fan too, but the Mystic has some great qualities. You won't regret the purchase. But it also won't be your last can.

You'll learn to regret it when that heavy can is on your pistol.  Get the Octane, your Specwar will handle the rest.  Shooting 5.56 in the Mystic is a slow affair, it's not even rated for it but people use it, just be sure to shoot slowly so the can stays relatively cool.

One can that does almost all are cool, but only if you can afford just the one can as they are good for lots, but not great for specific applications like a dedicated can would be.  If you didn't already have the Spectre and the Sparrow, then the Mystic would have made more sense. You Specwar will already fulfill your 5.56/.30 needs.  All you need now as a good pistol can meaning short and light.
