I have a beta mag that keeps jamming every three rounds or so on semi or auto.  The bullet is not being pointed up and jaming against the mag well driving the bullet down into the casing.  Any suggestions on this.  This is an older Beta C and has been stored loaded for about 2 years.  Thanks.

Needs new springs, and probably graphite lube.  I sent mine back to Beta and they reconditioned/rebuilt 3 of my Beta C-Mags.

Just had the same problem with a beta mag. I just relubed it with the Graphite lube and it works great.

Graphite is the Beta's best freind.

I was told by Betaco customer service that they loaded 100rds in a mag and left it on a shelf for five years.  Dumped the mag in FA in three equal bursts without a problem.  I would recommend that you take the back covers off and clean the inside.  The instructions are behind the flap on the inside back of the pouch.

If you tend to run your uppers with a lot of lube, the oil spray from the upper will mix with the grafite and make a patse.  Once the mag is clean try to run your gun with minimum lube.  I would also suggest adding some grafite to the mag ever time you load it.

Another suggestion would be to load a snap cap in as the first round.  Then ad 99 live rounds.  You will notice that the bolt tends to nick the rounded end dummy round at the top.  The round is made of aluminum.  The filings from the dummy round go into the gun or down into the mag.  I don't think aluminum filings would be good in either spot.  Also the snap cap will prevent a dry fire at the end.  Granted that isn't a big deal but every little bit helps.  Good luck with your Beta C problems.
