This is my first venture into the NFA World and boy is it full of ambiguity! I have done the search and I have read the "how to" so pertaining to the statement of "Both the Form 1 and the Form 5330.20 will need to be completed in duplicate for each firearm you are submitting paperwork for." does this mean that I have to have two(2) ORIGINAL Form 1's? I got the Commonwealth Attorney sign off on my form 1 today. it was done in blue ink so if I photo copy one I will have one copy in blue (original) the other black copy ink (the copy). Should I go back tomorrow to get another original signed off on in blue ink or make multi-copies of the original blue ink sign off and send in two (2) copies of the original?
thanks iso |

Your ATF 5320.1 in duplicate consist of 2 sheets of paper, front and rear. Both sheets of paper are to signed in ink, not sign 1 sheet and XEROX it for the duplicate. ATF 5330.20 is used to submitted as a single item. Got it, Thanks SBR7_11. WIll get the Commonwealth Attorney to sign off on the other one tomorrow (in blue ink of coarse) iso |

iso, FYI, you submit it in duplicate because ATF keeps one copy for their files, and puts the stamp on the second copy and sends that one back to you. As they are legal documents, both must be signed in ink to be valid. I was worried about that fact today I should have acted on the concern. Thanks tony_k for the FYI , as it does make sense but now I know and knowing is half the battle.
