| Hi everyone, I have been having misfeed problems here and there. What happens is the bullet gets stuck going up the feed ramp into chamber bending the bullet. This problem is random sometimes with a clean chamber on the 6th bullet or so, using cci minimags. It seems like this started happening after I took my mags apart and cleaned them. I used some grease I had in the garage, can anyone tell me what kind of grease comes from factory? |
No clue about factory grease, but any quality gun grease will do you just fine. My brand of preference is "Pro-Shot", but there's not too terribly much difference in the quality brands of grease, IMO. Brownells, Dillons, Midway, etc. all sell multiple brands & sizes. Just take your pick. 
The bugaboo with the GSG line seems to be that they're ammo biased. Mini-mags seem to be one of the ammo brands that they don't like. 
The vast majority of us have wonderful luck with running Federal value packs. They come in the 525rd packages. Hope this helps! |
| Thank you for the reply guys, I've used to be able to shoot the federal and mini mags with no problems. I haven't tried the federal bulk pack in a while cause I bought five cases of the mini mags thinking that they are the superior ammo. I'm going to buy a box of the federals, try some gun grease, and try slow feeding. |

Did you remove your your magazine-safey? if so I would put it back and see if that helps the feeding problem. It's abscence affects the magazine position.
Is your gun dirty? clean the feed ramp, breech face and magazine end with some rem-oil. CCI solid round-nose bullets are kinda blunt, and can be a feeding issue. CCI MiniMag HP hollow points are more pointed and work flawlessly in my gun. I like the CCI ammo because it seems to keep the gun cleaner, and accuracy groups are noticable tighter than Federal bulk pack. Also, my trigger starts feeling "gritty" after several hundred rds of Federal. That being said, I have 4 boxes of Federal 550 count bulk, and I feel like an idiot still buying CCI. But is shoots so well..... |
