Ok, so I'm total noob status with this stuff and I don't want to waste money.

Cheap junk and is a Chinese copy of the old style rhino without vertical adjustment. Just call TNVC or look on the EE or eBay for a used Rhino II. Good mount and won't break the bank. You will have a quality mount for your PVS-7.
ETA: You spent real money on a PVS-7. The worst mistake in night vision is getting a shitty helmet and mount. I played with all types of helmets before we could get quality night vision specific helmets that were not ballistic. Money well spent.

There is a high-quality import helmet that is currently not listed on eBay. I've been waiting on him to relist because I am already getting one for someone else on a budget. You can get a real RHNO or, better yet, a RHNO II for around $60. I've been harassing him via IM and he's been nothing but gracious. Unfortunately I already ordered the helmet and this is one time fast shipping but me in the butt. SOT sent me a linky for a Rhino II on the bay that I snagged the instant I read his IM. So I guess if the helmet turns out to be absolutely terrible I'll buy the one listed above. |
