Narrowed my choices down between the RCBS Trim Pro 2 and the Hornady Cam Lock trimmers.

Could anyone give some pros/cons on them? Thanks

I have the Hornady. Works well.

Doesn't include a power drive adaptor. Can easily be made from a nut, socket and drill/ socket drive adaptor.

Be sure to oil it as it can wear if you don't. Hole in casting provided for this.

One more thing, you have to buy a shellholder for each caliber you want to use. Different from standard shell holders.

That is the only drawback I see. Don't know about the RCBS.

I received the Hornady case trimmer in the single stage kit I bought. It works well enough but it was a pain to micro adjust it and it was SLOW.

I opted for the Frankford Arsenal case prep center. I am very happy with it.

That is false - Hornady CamLock takes standard shell holders

Mine, too. The hole in the middle of the Lee shell holders is too small for the cam-lock ram of the trimmer.

I have had the RCBS powered trimmer since 1997, I still use it.

Never used the Hornady, but I suspect it's a quality tool.

I have a cam lock and a Giraud.  I bought the cam lock after the Giraud.  Don't get me wrong, I like my Giraud and anytime I'm processing very many pieces of brass I'll use the Giraud.  But if my Giraud is set up for 5.56 or .308 and I've got 20 pieces of 30-30 I want to trim I'll just use the Hornady Cam Lock.

I have the old trim mate(powered, bought back in late 90's)..never had an issue with it, always works perfectly, I updated it a couple months ago by putting the new universal shell holder on it..once used for a bit (to loosen it up) its been awesome.. I ended up adding the trim mate center which I started out planning to just sell my old trimmer and get the new one that has the center built into it, glad I didn't, with them separate, I can trim cases while the boy uniforms the primer pockets, deburr inside and out, run a brush thru the case all on 1 piece without having to change anything..works out good...extremely happy with it....

I can see that this thread has lead you to a clear conclusion.

I think that any of these choices are good.  Buy the one that makes you happy when you see it.

Maybe the country of origin matters in your decision.  Giraud is US for sure, Hornady I think is and RCBS might be.
