What does the hive mind think about High Speed Gear Inc. I bought a Warlord chest rig and Drop leg holster as well as pouches. Is this stuff seeing combat or is it made just for civies like me? Personally, I think the quality is pretty good. It doesn't look cheesy and cheap. The seems are all sewn tough enough to hold my weight and all the buckles seem first rate. The material doesn't sound like cheap nylon. It is very flexible and moves quietly. I can drop the chest rig in a fraction of a second and it rides very comfortably. The drop leg holster is very well made and comfortable with a shock cord tensioner that seems like it was designed by someone who knew what they were doing. It is hanging on a HSGI belt that is tough enough to rappel with. The holser fits my XD tactical 45 like it was made for it. Now, I am determined to start training with my gear so I can get used to accessing everything and making sure that it won't fail during bad times. It will go thru several revisions over the next couple of months as I try different configurations. What do you think? |
| i haven't used much of their stuff, but their leg drop platform gets extensive use in my unit, and is a favorite, mostly because it allows for attaching a knife sheath without interfering with the webbing. if that one piece of gear is any indication of the rest, then you should be good to go. |

I have been using HSGI equipment in one form or another since 2001, and Gene has been making gearing well before I ever ventured into the fold of building gear. In fact he was the one biggest influence on my current development style. HSGIs gear is WELL in use in all of the majors asscracks of the world and some we probably shouldnt talk about EGG |

HSGI is outstanding gear. I keep my E&E kit in his EOD dropleg and have never had any problems with stitches coming out or zippers getting stuck. Gene is also a great guy to deal with. I've gone into his shop several times and asked if he could modify this or that or a lot of my other gear and he is always very helpful. HSGI is definetly "top tier". |
Hell, I'd be an HSGI fan even if I didn't have the pleasure of owning any of the gear; just because Gene has told me some of the god-damndest, most interesting, inspiring, stories I've ever heard! |
It is a moose pack in Multicam ( Credit card is being held in the tactical charge position |

I have two HSGI DACH chest rigs in Multicam (non-official camo of ARFCOM) with Mulitcam hydration carriers and they are the sh$t!!! I am using one rig for an AR-15 Mod 12 Mark 0 sniper setup and one for a 5.56 AK with Bulgarian waffle mags. Once you fill up the hydration carrier, the rig is very nicely balanced out. The gear is also very tough and well made. AC |
Order placed thanks for the info. |
