No pressure, but i'm trying to decide if I see a primer leak on the left one. If it is, get rid of it. And yes, FAL's rip up the rim like that. Try opening up your gas regulator to see if that helps. From the looks of that ejector mark it might be closed near all the way. |

If they fit in a shellholder reload them. If they don't fit, see if it is just a burr that is blocking the case. Way too bent rims are pretty obvious, but a burr or nick can block the case just as badly - and those are trivial to fix. How would I fix it? |

A big cause of this is an oversized gas port. You stated you had an 18" barrel, and that makes me wonder if yours had been opened up, but firing your FAL with the gas regulator closed can very easily cause this too. Also, some brass is more apt to do this than others in a given gun. Soft brass, I suppose. Don't forget to check your brass for primer leaks too.
