Hodgdon Powder > Reloading

I have had Varget on back order since January from two different dealers and check most of them weekly if not daily and still nothing. Hodgdon website says that there still in business but WTF its almost July. Anybody have a clue as to when we may see some powder?

They import most of these powders in batches that were likely ordered pre-panic. I get the impression that it will simply take time to get caught up and expect there to moments of supply and then out of stock again.

I picked up a pound at the Buffalo Gun Center a couple months ago. I usually use Alliant powders, tho. More available and priced right.

My Walmart had some Varget about a week ago. Yes it sold quickly but they had it.

Your Wal Mart Carries reloading supplies? I check Natchez, Grafs, Sinclair, Wideners, Cabelas and several others often and have large orders with grafs and sinclair and havent seen anything.

I have been checking everywhere in the state of TN for some varget for the past 4 months. A buddy finally agreed to sell me 2 lbs if I would sell him some back when I got some. I have heard the same thing from two different LGS and they said when they talked to their Hodgdon rep they told them it will be a while as they're trying to funnel most of their production to the big chain stores and he named Bass Pro and Cabelas. So I'm gonna just try to get some back ordered and sit and wait...

I just picked up 6lbs. of Varget last Thursday from Natchez, it was delivered Monday.

You didn't check everywhere. The last two times I was in Allen's and TN Gun Country in Clarksville, they both had 1 LB bottles of Varget. I picked some up both times.

I've picked up 15 pounds of Varget and 8 pounds of H110 within the last month.

Ive lucked out and picked up 10lbs of varget at local shops and online. H335 is another story

Ive been waiting on my order from brownells to ship since February.

Hodgdon makes powder in Kansas but also has an Australian "Vendor" - the vendor's plant is down due to a fire. I called Hodgdon and they said the fire would not affect deliveries - whatever that means!

Cabelas had some varget last week, between me and the old man we scored 4 of the 7 sitting there :) stupid 2 per person limit..

I saw some at my Scheels (not sure if you have one near by) about 2 weeks ago. I had a buddy who was looking for some and I just happened to have 4lbs of it sitting idle in my basement. It was his lucky day

I have seen some at gun shows lately but only the 1 lb. containers. Not alot of it but there is some out there. But gun shows only. My local gun shop doesn't have any and hasn't had any in a few months.
