here's my instructor's website/blog: http://helmforge.blogspot.com/
he's going to be doing a line of combat hawks and i'm helping him with prototyping. |
|
i'm looking at putting 18" handles on both of the ones i've made already i just need to order the material.
i've thought about making one with a spike rear but i like the hammer poles a little bit more because they're more utilitarian. you can't hammer with a spike. but then again, a hawk with a blade and a spike are a bad ass combo! |

I was thinking more of a glass breaking tool or like a crenellated weapon. Another idea would be a prying tool |

oh, ok! a buddy of mine suggested a line of tools that could be used in breaching as well. like part hawk and part hooligan. They are useful. The Army has a breaching kit but one of the most useful tools is the axe/pry bar... 18" is perfect for lashing to a ruck and going about and doing dangerous things without lugging a whole breaching kit (weighs a ton). |

Yeah I hated humping the breacher kit. I'm not on the ground anymore, but I'm hoping my instructor can get some good designs that'll help the guys on the ground. He's looking to break into the tactical hawk market. He knows it'll be really hard to compete with RMJ, but he's looking to make good gear for reasonable prices. |
| probably not right now, but my instructor will be selling them. he's got some really good designs as well. we're probably gonna be working on some prototype nylon handle soon. check his website out and give him a shout. he'll make things to order. my second hawk design is almost an exact copy of one he's already made. |

He doesn't seem to have any for sale, at least not that I could find. P.S. - A nylon handle does not interest me, I like wood. He doesn't have any on his website, yet. He's using me as his prototype bitch If you e-mail him and tell him what you want he'll make one for you. Tell him you saw a link to his website on AR15.com. he'll know that you talked to me. |
