Does anyone have the recipe for homemade case lube. I lost the one I had using 99% isopropyl alcohol and liquid lanolin. This stuff works great but I can't remember the ratio. Thanks for your help.

I personally think that 4oz to 16oz of alcohol would be a little too thick.  My mix is 3 tablespoons (1.5oz) lanolin to one 12 oz bottle of ISO-HEET gasoline anti-freeze (which is just 99% isopropyl and some 'injector clean').

I have a bottle mixed up to the strong formula but the excess lanolin just comes out of solution.  shake it up for really high lube or leave it alone for the maximum ratio that can disolve.

12:1 is the proper ratio, just make sure is 99% ISO or it will fall out of suspension and need frequent shaking.

To make things easy, take 3 16ox bottles of 99%-91% (as stated above, just shake it)and the 4oz of the lanolin.

Warn them both up in a pot/pan/vessel and repour back in to the ISO containers, then put the left over in a spray bottle.

You are now R2R...

How does this lanolin lube compare to other lubes in removal? I am currently using Hornady's Unique wax type lube and really like it but it gets old wiping down each case to remove the lube.  Looking for something I can use as lube and be able to quickly remove.

Any one use Moble one synthetic ? I found it works very well on.223 but I have not  tryed it on bigger cases yet. What do you think of this? Good or bad? After I tumble I use a fine mesh minnow net to shake the shells clean of walnut . May not  be  what every one else does but it works

If you use pure 99%+ IPA there is no need for heat of any kind, the liquid Lanolin will completely dissolve and not fall out of suspension.

Where did you pick up your supplies?  Local or online?

I tried local chain pharmacies for both and they were useless.  I got the 99% from the hospital pharmacy that I work at, and the liquid lanolin from Amazon.com.

I was able to find 99% IPA locally, by the gallon, at a farm supply store (thanks thebeekeeper1) after trying drug stores and pharmacies.  I ended up buying the lanolin online.

I have a couple of questions on proper usage.   I have used thge OneSHot with real bad results and have been looking for an alternative. I contacted Forster and they suggest to use thir lube ofcourse.

1. What is the best method to apply this?

2. What happens if it gets inside the case?

3. If needed, how do you clean the case after resize?

Thanks

A lot of people do have trouble. I have used it (at first poorly, then without issue) follow the directions to the letter.

1. What is the best method to apply this?
spray bottle about 12" away and widest spray pattern. Just put it on a towl and a couple of spays making sure to get in the case mouth, let dry for a few minutes
2. What happens if it gets inside the case?
nothing, you need a touch inside the mouth for case resizing anyway
3. If needed, how do you clean the case after resize?
just tuble for a few minutes and it cleans right off.
Thanks

lay it and spray it
