Thanksgiving day I had a brain fart came up with an idea of a homemade  sten loader.
I did not see this anywhere but I am sure someone else may have done this.

The materials are a 1\2" wooden dow and a 1\8" pin

I insert the dow into the mag and push down untill it bottoms out.
Then I insert the pin in the last round indicator hole and remove the dow

I hold the mag slightly upside down and tilt it back .
I then load the bullets one at a time(the first 2 are the hardest to start)
Gravity keeds them to the mouth of mag since you are loading mag tilted down.
It will have a tendency to single stack on you, just slowly roll mag up and then back down.

I can load 29 to 30 rounds this way. I apply a little pressure down with my thumb
on the top bullet and remove the pin. You can load the other 2 or 3 bullets
if you want after the pin is pulled. I did this while drinking my morning coffee.
I used a 4' long 1/2"dia wooden dow cost $2, 1/8"  pin 50 cents. I will cut the dow  10" to 12"
and mount on a wood block. An old shotgun cleaning rod will work. You can use a nail for the pin too.

My main concern when loading is to make sure you do not let the bullets flip around. That is why I load facing down ward. If you drop from the top they may stand up and flip backwards. The other concern is single stacking.
