Noticed my Large Primer punch on my LNL AP felt a little weird when changing over this morning, went to prime some cases anyway, and got about 5 cases in when the punch wouldn't retract anymore.

Pulled it apart and the threaded portion was cracked at the thread root for a full thread, letting the whole assembly cant over and bind the punch.  Probably my fault in over-tightening over the years, incrementally stretching the threads or something.

Anyway, I knew Hornady would take care of it, so I called them up, and they did, actually sending me both primer punches on the assumption that the small punch is probably close to fatigue point as well.

What I DIDN'T expect is how cracked up I got listening to the recorded phone tree message I got when initially calling the 800 number.  If you like semi-dry sarcastic humor, give them a call just to listen to the recorded message.  The tech guy totally understood and listened to me try to regain my composure for a minute before getting into what my issue was, I wish more companies delivered the "don't be dumb" message in similar fashions.

Again, I wasn't surprised by the CS.

I was surprised at how funny I found the recorded phone tree message.

It started off normally and then went off the rail, from memory: "Please listen carefully as this menu may have changed, if you have called within the last month, listen carefully again, because the menu HAS changed, if you think you know your party's extension and mis-dial, you will have to listen to this menu again, so pay attention this time instead."  It continued in a similar fashion through the inclusion of Hornady's acquisition of snap-safe and some other quips.

I was amused, just trying to share.
