[ARCHIVED THREAD] - How did I do?

After wanting a FAL for a number of years I finally broke down and. ordered me one. I'm looking at a minimum of 6 months until I get it due to transfer times but I'm excited nonetheless.

Here's what I bought-

DSA SA58 with an 11" barrel and full length rail.

It's identical to this-

I've did some searching and seen people have varying opinions of DSA. Anyone here have some real experience with one of these?

Nice gun Congrats! but 6 months is a bit optimistic it will probably be north of 10 months.

It's not coming direct from DSA, my local gun shop has a vendor with one in stock. So ill be waiting for the transfer to my friends shop and then the stamp from the ATF. I'm still probably being optimistic.

I think going onto the FAL Files may be better to ask there. Those guys are FAL gurus, like literally.

..and I just waited 6 months and 1 week for 2 tax stamps so 6 months door to door with the ATF sounds about right

IIRC, weren't some people having tuning issues with these barrels and short gas systems? Shouldn't be hard to work out if they do.
