Yes and/or no. If you have all your documents including the noterized one required on the CMP website and your qualifying club membership card, you can buy and take it home. Just your C&R alone does not qualify you to purchase rifles from CMP. |

Orest from the CMP forum said that Greek Field Grades were the quickest to ship at the moment. I sent out my paperwork for a GK FG M1 on the day after Thanksgiving, and got my M1 on the 7th of December, so about two weeks give or take. This was my first order from them, so that was with them 'putting me in the system' and all. |

I sent in my paperwork on 11/21, and got it on 12/9. Yugosksfan, how does your Greek field grade look? I got mine yesterday, and I'm fairly happy with it. A little more muzzle wear than I'd hoped for, and the stock has what looks like light belt sanding in areas. It's a Springfield receiver, and a WRA bolt. All in all though, it's a keeper. I'm thinking about another one. Prolly a USGI field grade. X

Mine is pretty nice, considering I only have around $415 into it. It's a 1943 SA. All parts are SA, except for the bolt, which is an HRA. The wood is USGI, with a few cracks in it, the only major one was arsenal repaired. My stock also shows signs of being sanded, the cartouches on the stock are somewhat faint. I'd say roughly 60-70% finish left. The parkerizing is still very good, but the gas tube has almost no finish left. The muzzle still has quite a bit of life in it. I don't have any .30-06 around the house, but I stuck a Wolf .308 round in the muzzle, and about an 1/8" was sticking out. Overall, I'm pleased. I see a 1903 from them in my future.
