I am going to start reloading .223 and I am going to have to get some brass (going with Hornady AP) just curios as to how many reloads on average with good brass you can do before scrapping. Also please comment on favorite brass

The number is impossible to predict.

It could be a low as 3 or as high as 30+, depending on more factors than the brass alone.

I can imagine, I was looking for average

Load light and use a carrier weight and spring, and the brass will last for a long time.  Load heavy and expect about three reloads of new brass until the primer pockets give up.

I always load near minimum and it is rare that I throw a case out. Most of my brass is once fired that I got in '97-'98 when I started loading for my ARs, I would estimate that I have only thrown out 100 cases out of 2k. I put 6-10 loadings but it is more like 6 or 7 realistically.
