[ARCHIVED THREAD] - How many shells in a flat?

I know a box is 25.. Flat is 250? I've heard Case too but that's often referred to metallic cartridges and that's more likely about 1,000.

250 shells is both a flat or a case.

Sporting clays guys seem use the term flat more.

Yep, all the cases of shells I've got had 250 rounds in there
