UPS Insured. Get a fax copy from the FFL holder the buyer wants to use and send it only to the address on the FFL.

Long guns can ship regular ground and HG's must go overnight $$$$$$$

you can ship longguns thru the USPS, without any issues,

handguns too, but they have to be sent from a dealer to a dealer, and use a specific form, (see gunbroker's selliing tutorial for more info, ).

that means if you are a dealer, you can ship a handgun for less than $20. usually, including insurance, (flat rate priority box, delivery confirmation, insurance)

UPS can get pricey

Long guns can go by mail. The more insurance you need the cheaper UPS is in general. Most of the time its cheaper to send it USPS. I would take a copy of the FFL to show its going to that adress though

Shipping by the Post Office

only if it sold interstate.  if you sell/ ship to someone in your own state you can ship it directly to them.....this is Fed law, your state may have other resrictions on transfers.
