How does one go about figuring out the value of such a gun? There seem to be loads of variables that make, to me, pricing really difficult.

1.4 Mil Springfield

Armory fix up in 52 (as marked on the barrel)

WRA trigger group.

Stock is good shape, but there are no cartouches showing...

My best guess - 8-900. Am I on the right path?

If just a mixmaster , which yours sounds to be ,barrel condition is a huge factor in value
Need to measure muzzle and throat . If barrel gauges well  and there is hardly any wear to the parkerizing its comparable to a CMP Service Grade $625.
That being said on the secondary market I would say around $725
Really need to see some pics to give accurate estimate

What M1G said.  Figure a Garand at CMP price then add $100 for a FTF sale.

Thanks. I appreciate all the help without any pics provided. Good to have an idea of what I am holding onto as I got it in a trade for way less than even the 625 the CMP would want for such a gun. I guess im ahead of the game.

May also be worth way less. As I said depends on barrel measurements
