I got a kit from my dip kits its easy to do just take your time with it.

What do you consider a "decent" price? Most reputable refinishers have comparable prices.
And there are reasons the work costs what it does, one of them being they aren't using chemicals and paint from spray cans and they aren't dipping into Tupperware bins.

It dont matter what you use there are a lot of company out that have kits for sale but you need a paint gun to use it this one just makes it easy for doing at home just because its in a can dont mean its no good and if you read alot of them use car paint and clears so look around and read up on how its done thats what i did  before you spend all that money for some one to do it.

It definitely makes a difference to use quality materials. There are a lot of things you can get away with, which stands true in everything in life.
Also, just like everything in life, with coatings as well, you get what you pay for.

He can pay 100$ for a dip kit that he might be able to get to work and still end up with a sub-par finish, or possibly waste time and money and still have to take it to someone. Or pay someone about the same price and have it done correctly the first time.

It's OP's decision.

Hey Bravo if you like to DIY then check out my dip kits I found it was easy to do so now Im doing my kids xbox controller in other things I find around the house its fun to do in you can do just about anything you want just read about how its done in take your time with it if u thank you cant do it  there are alot company's out there u can send it to in have them do it it its up to hope this helps
