  Jim at JP grips did the barrel work. Cycles fine with the factory gas bushing but I am going to test it with a couple different sizes over the weekend. Still need to fashion up a AC556k style front sight (without the Samason sling loop). Probably throw a Aimpoint on it as well. This gun makes me giggle every time i look at it. Update: Finally got my Rhodie6-k today and it is now dedicated to the micro14. First impressions: ZERO gas to the face compared to before. Very cool. No noticeable POI - just using ECCO Machine dt mount same as the previous suppressor. Sounds great. It’s a short 5.56 suppressor, have reasonable expectations. Overall length is less than a 16” bbl (this is important to me, short as possible but still functional) Even made a few hits on a 7x12 plate at 333yds with the old ultradot 2moa and 75gr Hornady frontier lol. Such a fun gun to shoot! |

That is very cool. I am surprised that it cycles with that short of a barrel. I am curious as to whether the accuracy improved by shortening the barrel. It seems like the long thin barrel was always one of the big issues with mini 14 accuracy. |

Lol  Im hoping a .050 bushing will tame the gas down and still lock back. Going to put 2-300rds through it this evening and will report back on accuracy. |

I am waiting on a Samson front sight gas block to come in then I will have to grind the stupid front sling mount they added to it off. Until then i will probably just put an aimpoint on it. Put 200rds through it yesterday evening, no malfunctions. The Stacy’s Mom K sounds great on it. |

| I was just thinking why Ruger doesn't offer the the Mini in 30 carbine? Seems like it would be slam dunk easy from the engineer side, maybe dumb on the market side. All the recentish M1 clones seems to be pretty crappy, if anyone can do it my bet is Ruger could. |

If they did one in 350 Legend I bet they’d sell out before Midwest deer season. There is a company doing conventions, albeit at a ridiculously high price. They already make several guns in the caliber. I often use an AR in 350, but it would be a hoot to hunt “German” deer with my grandfather’s WW2 style rifle. |

The used mini I just picked up did not have a bushing in it. I bought the bushing kit but have the barreled receiver out getting chopped and threaded now. I feel like we are on similar journeys. Here's a Pic after the cut off wheel. Ive since sanded it / cleaned it up a little and hit it with some cold blue. @KavonTn I almost went the same route having my mini barrel setup for my AEM5. Really glad I did not. You’re going to be miserable shooting the mini14 with the aem5, the gas to the face is going to be BAD. My best advice is to get a low back pressure, flow through design suppressor. I really liked shooting mine with the Stacy’s Mom K but now with the Rhodie6 K i LOVE shooting it. ZERO gas to the face. |

@LineHaul Noooo. I was hoping it wouldnt be that bad with a smaller gas bushing. Ive suppressed an m14 and once dialing in the gas, I didnt think it was terrible. I hope AE comes out with their flow through can soon. Maybe I'll look at the ocm6. Im hoping with the reflex design and longer barrel it will work well unsuppressed. |
