[ARCHIVED THREAD] - IBA Conversion Kit

Hey guys:

I was gifted an IBA that's in woodland and want to convert it over to Tan through a conversion kit. However I'm having next to no luck finding what I'm after.

Has anyone converted their vest to another pattern? Could you provide a link or two?

What you're looking for is a new carrier. Searching for conversion kits will most likely net you a bunch of side-opening conversions, but no new carriers. They show up in the EE from time to time and there are always a bunch on Ebay.

Since you don't have any money in it yet, you may want to consider getting a different carrier like the TAG Spartan or Spartan II for it. These cost a bit more than a conventional IBA carrier, but they make for a better vest.

Spartan II has the cummerbund Spartan I doesnt.

Forgive the F-14 wallpaper.

It's visually very similar to the Marine Corps issue MTV I wore on deployment, but I think the Spartan II fits me much better.

Pardon the noob, but with the Spartan, would I take my IBA's soft armor and transfer it over to the Spartan?
