I ordered some 700gr. AP bullets from Pats reloading a couple of months ago. I've ordered from them before but this time the AP bullets looked like they were tumbled to polish them up. No black tips on them and very clean. I dont know if they accidently sent me regular FMJ ball bullets or if they tumbled the AP bullets which took the black paint off .
I saw a thread on here before where someone showed how to tell the difference but I cant find it !!! Need Help |

If they are M2AP, they'll have a smooth CUT cannelure. Also, the jacket on an M2AP is swaged around the core. On an M33 ball, the bullet base is closed with a lead plug. -David Edgewood, NM ETA: I was 14 seconds late on this post. Ed's Right. |
